Having worked in publishing and the voluntary sector I am now freelancing as an editor and proofreader and a humanist celebrant specialising in funeral and naming ceremonies. I have four children, all now grown up but in and out of the house.
I’m interested in the world around me, including my immediate surroundings, but more aware of my ignorance as I get older. I enjoy being at home with my husband, cooking and gardening and talking to the cat, but I also get out to do voluntary work locally, go for walks, see friends and enjoy some of the cultural delights that London offers.
I joined Room for Tea because I particularly like meeting young people from the UK and abroad, and giving them a welcome to London. I am used to having young people arond me, and it's an added pleasure to talk to people with different perspectives and experiences. At present I only offer the rooms to single people who are studying at post graduate level.
