Great location, excellent public transport, bright attractive first-floor flat overlooking East-West. High ceilings, nice views, through ventilation. Very convenient for central/east London, beside Canonbury Overground Station. Lively interesting neighbourhood Dalston/Highbury/Stoke Newington: food, culture, nightlife. West-facing living/dining, small equipped kitchen. Small shower room. Cosy east-facing bedroom, sunny balcony overlooking gardens. A railway is nearby in a cutting, otherwise it's pretty quiet. Perfect location for a visit: - Great variety of shops, pubs, theatres, restaurants and clubs nearby in Dalston, Islington Upper Street and Stoke Newington Church Street - all within easy walking distance; - Excellent public transport connections to central and south London (Victoria Line) as and orbital route around the whole city (Overground Line) including all-night services on Friday and Saturday nights; - Interesting neighbourhood with great local walks, parks, Georgian architecture, and quirky attractions. It's also the kind of place you'll feel at home. You can experience the city without even leaving the flat: it has lovely views on both sides: at the front it looks west over a little park with a good corner shop and a pub, at the back is an east-facing balcony looking over gardens along a sunken railway. There's a nicely-furnished sunny living/ dining/ kitchen, very comfortable morning and evening. It's on the first floor so has a great view over the street and little square so you can people-watch to your heart's content. There's a TV with cable, and wifi. There are also a speaker you can network your music into. The flat is small (approx. 40m2), a bit like a boat hence it works best for a single guest or a couple. There is a small shower room and hall. The shared stairway to the flat is also quite narrow.

Ideal guest

Somebody who will be respectful of my two neighbours upstairs and downstairs, and of the flat and its furnishings and equipment. There is a railway nearby so likely won't suit a very light sleeper, otherwise it's a pretty quiet place to be. Ideally somebody who will enjoy the flat, make good use of it, and treat it like it's their home - and occasionally water my fig plant and feed the squirrels!

Household info

House rules
