Everyone loves this room as it's both cosy, snug and welcoming with a French feel & a 30's dressing suite. It overlooks the peaceful garden, has ample storage, a great bed with feather pillows and a very warm duvet emphasising my love of calm & tranquil spaces. The house retains a similar feel. Full of art, photos and objets d'art picked up on my travels. However the kitchen is bright, spacious and modern. It contains more than enough equipment to feed a banquet. The bathroom is also sleek and modern with white tiles and grey marble, designed by renown Architects, TLA Studios. The house is set within a traditional row of terraced houses on a convivial street with friendly neighbours, including young families & professional people, whilst remaining generally calm and peaceful. The area is extremely mixed and has something to offer most guests thanks it's diversity and position just 20 minutes from Central London. The open expanse of Clapham Common is just a 15 minute walk away or if you'd prefer the hustle and bustle of Brixton with it's shops, markets, cafés, bars, & restaurants of all nationalities, that too is just a 15 minute walk in the other direction. I have lived here for over a decade and know many great restaurants and places to visit.
I'd like someone who will be considerate to all house guests, will appreciate the house and can clean up after themselves. I'd like someone who is happy and cheerful, likes to chat but also likes time alone and will participate in the household.
It's a friendly house so there are often friends & neighbours dropping by for a quick chat and a cuppa. Also it's not unusual for me to cook for family & friends sometimes unexpectedly but often for Sunday lunch. There are no pets but friends with pets are most welcome. I have an other room that is also rented out so other guests might be in the house. NB. A cleaner comes every other week. This is a shared cost. Price includes main utility bills & rent only. Personal supplies & needs must be paid for as an extra or purchased yourself.
All utilities are included in the price. That means Electricity, Gas, Water and Internet.
Be considerate to and of other guests. Respect other guests belongings. Inform the house of late nights/early mornings, don't bring strangers into the house and ensure the house is locked on departure. Clean up after themselves. Look after their room & keep it clean, wash the sheets once a week. If unsure of anything in the house, please ask. No illegal activities or substances. No smoking. No parties. No visitors unless agreed.
